The Model 88 weld head is designed to perform very high duty cycle welding operations for low radial clearance tubes by using the Cold Wire Feed GTAW (TIG) process.
The Model 88 is a “full function” welding system, meaning that it provides all processes necessary for true automated welding, including Rotation, Arc Voltage Control (AVC) for Arc Gap Control, Wire Feed and Torch Oscillation. The Model 88 also features a number of options that enable the head to be used in a wide variety of applications. The Model 88 Weld Torch features a liquid-cooled housing, which allows for use in pre-heat applications. Additionally, the Model 88 can be equipped with remote viewing capability for true hands-off applications.
