Compressed air filtration is an elementary component for compressed air treatment and is present more than once in the treatment chain. Compressed air filters remove all types of solid and liquid contaminants from the compressed air in stages, i.e. large amounts of condensate and coarse contamination particles such as rust, abrasion particles, oil droplets and dust are filtered in the first stages and then fine oil mist and fine dust particles are filtered in subsequent stages. Compressed air filters containing activated carbon also remove foul-smelling odours and oil vapour. Specific compressed air filters even remove viruses and germs and thus produce sterile compressed air.

All filter housings are made from high grade materials and offer a double surface protection ensuring a long lifetime. The housings are designed for energy efficient operation and offer extended port sizes relative to flow and pressure. A complete set of accessories is available, as well as several mounting possibilities for easy installation.
All filter housings are covered by the FST '1-person-easy-maintenance-concept', which means a single service engineer is able to carry out a full service even on the largest filter without the need of special tools or additional help.

Filter elements
 
Filter elements are available in a variety of filtration grades:

Grade W – Water separator
Removal of large amounts of liquids (condensate)
• Efficiency 99,9% (droplets >100µ)
Grade V – Coarse filter
Removal of large amounts of solid or liquid, coarse contaminants
• Efficiency 99,99% (3µ)

Grade ZN – General purpose filter
Removal of medium amounts of solid or liquid, fine contaminants
• Efficiency 99,9999% (1µ)
• Residual oil content ≤ 0,5 mg/m³ (liquid oil)
Grade XN – Fine filter
Removal of small amounts of solid or liquid, finest contaminants
• Efficiency 99,9999% (0,01µ)
• Residual oil content ≤ 0,01 mg/m³ (liquid oil)

Grade XXN – Super fine filter
Removal of small amounts of solid or liquid, finest contaminants
• Efficiency 99,99999% (0,01µ)
• Residual oil content ≤ 0,001 mg/m³ (liquid oil)
Grade A / CA – Activated carbon element / cartridge
Removal of small amounts of gaseous contaminants, especially oil vapour
• Residual oil content ≤ 0,003 mg/m³ (oil vapour)
Grade ST / STPL / SMPL – Sterile filter
Removal of living microorganism with the option for sterilizing
• Retention rate 0,01µ
Grade D – Steam filter
Removal of coarse or fine, solid contaminants from steam flows
• Retention rate 25µ or 1µ
