Compressed air cooling occurs in every compressed air system. Most often, an after-cooler is already integrated in the compressor unit as discharge temperatures without after-cooling can be in the region of ca. 70°C up to 120°C. Cooling creates large amounts of condensate, which must be discharged from the compressed air system directly after the compressed air cooler (see water separators Filtration and condensate drains Condensate Management). However, where there is no compressed air after-cooler on the compressor, or the existing cooling is insufficient for downstream treatment processes requiring lower compressed air temperatures, an additional compressed air cooler is required to produce a suitable application temperature
(ca. 25°C to 35°C).

Air cooled coolers
• Maximum volume flow 36 m³/h – 2,323 m³/h
• Maximum operating pressure up to 16 bar
• Connection G 3/4 – DN 150

Water cooled
HAM-WF series
 
Water cooled coolers with fixed bundle
• Maximum volume flow 90 m³/h – 15,000 m³/h
• Maximum operating pressure 10 bar - 16 bar
• Connection G 1 – DN 350
HAM-WE series
 
Water cooled coolers with removable bundle
• Maximum volume flow 445 m³/h – 15,000 m³/h
• Maximum operating pressure 10 bar - 16 bar
• Connection G 2 – DN 350
Coolers are available for volume flows up to 15,000 m³/h and operating pressures up to 16 bar. Higher volume flows, higher operating pressures or stainless steel designs are available on request.
